Veteran's Day Performance
Students should arrive dressed up. We will meet on the stage to warm-up before the assembly begins. Students should wear dress clothes of your choice—i.e. women: dresses (knee length, dress slacks, nice shoes), men: dress slacks with a belt, dress shirt with tie and nice shoes. You do not have to wear standard black at this event, however, you are required to dress up and look nice and put together. No crumpled, wrinkled, dirty clothes—combed and clean hair—NO sneakers, shorts, leggings, sweat pants,—if you are unsure DO NOT do it!
Joint Christmas Parade Rehearsal JH/HS Bands
All JH & HS band members report to the band room prior to 7:55. We will warm up as a group and then you will be assigned your parade formation.
Columbus Christmas Parade
JH/HS bands will combine for this performance. All band members meet in the band room at 600. JH Band members should arrived dressed in full uniform. All band members need to have a Santa hat and you also are welcome to decorate your instruments. Prizes will be given for best Santa Hat and decorated instruments. After the parade, make sure all of your equipment is store in the proper location.
JH Band - Neewoallah Parade
Arrive at the band room dressed in your uniform, to load the bus at 1:45. We will depart for Independence at 2:00 PM. Bring clothes to change into for after the parade. You will be given a little time to eat and walk around the Neewollah Festivities. You will need to bring money for a meal.
Parents driving to the parade: The parade starts at 4:00 PM in Independence. The parade route runs north to south on Penn Street and ends at the corner of Penn and Maple. Bus will be parked behind the Methodist Church.
Senior Night & Band Cook Out
We will be serving walking tacos at 5:00 for all band members. Be dressed into full uniform and ready to warm up by 6:10. We will walk out at 6:25 for Senior Night.
Columbus Day Jazz Gig
We play on the courthouse steps at 12:30 pm. Wear your band t-shirt. Arrive at the school at 11:30 am to load the trailer. You will be required to bring your own stand and saxes need to bring a stool. Everyone needs to help load. After the gig ALL members are required to help take equipment back to the school.
Columbus Day
JH students should arrive dressed in uniform between 8:30—8:45 am. You will be issued a bow tie when you arrive. Parade start time is 9:40 AM. After the parade, make sure you return to band room to pick up your equipment.
HS students should arrive by 8:45—9:00 AM. Be dressed in full uniform ready to go by 9:20. After the parade, please pick up your equipment and you are free to enjoy the rest of the day!
Home Football
Arrive at 6:00 pm to dress into full uniform. We will warm up at 6:30 PM.
Home Football- Homecoming
We will warm-up at 6:10 and walk out at 6:20 to watch the coronation. Please arrive on time. FULL uniform tonight.
Homecoming Parade
JH/HS Bands will wear jeans w/out holes, band t-shirt, band hat and black dinkles. Students will walk back after the parade. DO not be playing your instruments on the walk back. Once you return, store all equipment in proper area and you are dismissed.
Home Game
Call time is 6:00 PM in the band room. We will wear jeans (w/out holes), band t shirt, black dinkles and band hat. We will sit with the band through the 3 quarter. NO friends or outside people allowed in band room or sitting with you at the game!
State Fair Itinerary
Show up at 5:00 AM to load buses, we will depart at 5:30 AM sharp. DO NOT BE LATE! We will be stopping in Andover at McDonald’s for breakfast & to change clothes. We will wear Jeans (without holes), black dinkles, band hat and band t shirt. Make sure you have all of these items! Checkout the schedule and checklist below. You will need $$ for breakfast, lunch in the fair and dinner at Spangles on the ride home.

Meet The Titans
Students should arrive by 5:30 PM to warm up and tune. Wear your band t-shirt and jeans—if you are in another fall sport you may wear that jersey or shirt. All others should wear band t-shirt. We will walk to the gym at 5:55. We start with the National Anthem followed by the Fight Song. I will then introduce the entire band. After you have been introduced and photo taken, you are done. Make sure you put your instrument back in the band room. If you stay for the remainder of the Meet The Titans, please stay quiet while other teams are being introduced.
Band Photo Shoot
Students should arrive NO later than 7:40 AM to dress into full uniform. Please fill out photo form & bring your payment with the form on the day of the shoot. Seniors should bring the band t shirt along with jeans to take the senior group photo after the large band group. All other students remain in uniform until your individual photo has been taken.
CUHS Band Camp
CUHS Band Camp will begin Monday, August 4 at 9:00 AM in the band room. Download forms and bring with payment the first day of camp. Bring your instrument and be prepared to play. We will be checking uniforms as well. Please take care of payments and orders during the week of camp to assure that we have ample time to order the supplies. You will be given an hour for lunch each day.

JH Band Camp
JH Band Camp will begin Monday, July 28 at 9:00 in the HS Band room. Download forms using the link and bring with payment the first day of camp. Forms will also be available in hard copy in the band room. Bring your instrument and be prepared to play. Students will be given an hour for lunch each day. You may walk to Sonic or bring your lunch and eat in the band room. Uniforms will be checked out on Wednesday and scavenger hunt will be Thursday morning. Please wear comfortable shoes & cool clothing for the scavenger hunt. If you unsure of sizes, we will have shoes & gloves for you to size.
We are looking forward to seeing you next week and anticipating another great Titan Band!
Graduation
Plan on arriving no later than 4:15 PM. Parking will be limited and you will need to bring a stand & your instrument to the gym. You will need to be in your seat NO LATER than 4:45 PM. Graduation will begin on time & we being with the Processional. Dress clothes—NO shorts or jeans. MEN—tie, dress shirt, slacks LADIES—reasonable length skirts/dresses and/or slacks.
Baccalaureate
Arrive at 5:30 PM to warm-up and tune. Please wear dress clothes or concert attire. NO shorts, jeans, or sneakers. Gentlemen please wear ties and slacks, ladies reasonable length skirts, dresses and/or slacks. Please look NICE! Seniors arrive at 5:30 and place your instrument in your chair.
JH Solo Adjudication
All students should bring their uniform to school for solos—you will check the uniform in after you perform your solo. 7 Grade band members report to band room at 8:00 AM. 8 Grade band members will report to band room at 12:50 PM.
Four State Honor band
We will depart CUHS at 8:00 AM for the Bicknell Center. Please wear nice school clothes. Lunch will be served at the Bicknell. After rehearsals, we will go eat dinner and change into concert attire for the concert that evening. Concert is at 7:00 PM at the Bicknell Center, Pittsburg, KS. Please bring your standard black concert attire for the evening concert.
CUHS Tri-M Recital & Spring Concert
All Tri-M Members & students performing solos/ensembles on the Recital, please arrive no later than 2:15 PM. Other band members arrive no later than 3:15 for the 3:30 concert. Dress in classic black concert attire for this event. Awards will be presented. All students are asked to stay for the entire concert. The slideshow is 7 minutes in length and you are dismissed after it is over. Thanks for a great semester!

We will depart CUHS at 9:35 AM. Wear casual clothes for travel. You will need money for 3 fast food meals and one nice meal. We will be staying in the Hampton Inn East, Wichita. JH Carthage Festival
Students should arrive at school dressed in band uniform and report directly to the band room. We will load up and depart at 8:15 AM. We play at 9:30 AM in the Carthage HS Auditorium. Once we are finished playing, you may change out of your uniform. Please wear a t shirt and short under the uniform to make changing faster. We will go to the mall to eat lunch—you will need to bring money. We should arrive back by 2:30 PM.
State Band Large Group Festival
Please arrive at CUHS dressed in your black concert attire. We will have a short rehearsal and then load the buses and depart for the Bicknell. We will have a short time to listen to groups before we play. We need to be in the worm up room by 10:55. We play on the Bicknell stage at 11:20. After our performance, we will take a photo on the steps in the lobby and then you are free to change your clothes. We will depart for lunch at noon. You will be back at CUHS by 2:30. Make sure all equipment gets put back on the bus and then off the bus and stored in its proper location.
Regional Solo/Ensembles
Regional Solo/Ensembles is at PSU. Plan on arriving by 6:50 AM to get loaded. We will pull out at 7:00 AM. You will need to bring your black concert attire to wear for events. If you play later in the day, you may want to change. If you play earlier—just plan on arriving dressed in black attire. Refer to the schedule posted below. All students are required to travel to the event on the bus. If you wish to ride home with your parents, you will need to have them check with us before you leave at PSU.

CNC Festival
The Titan Band plays at 8:00 AM in the auditorium. Band members should arrive dressed in black concert attire by 7:20 AM. All students should be in their seat with instruments on the stage NO later than 7:30 AM. We play at 8:00 AM and will be finished by 8:30 AM. Once we are done, you are free to go.
MIOSM Concert
All Titan Band members—grades 6 through 12 will be performing. CUHS Band members wear classic black concert attire, JH Band members wear uniform with black vest, 6 Grade Band members should dress in nice dress clothes—no sweat pants, shorts please. We kindly ask that all students plan on staying for the entire concert. Concert should last approximately 1 hour. Should be a fun evening of celebrating what we have accomplished this semester!
KMEA
Dress for the event is business casual. NICE school clothes is appropriate—please NO sweats, shorts, or shoddy looking clothes. You will be representing CUHS & all of the important people in the field of music across the state will be at this convention. You will need money for 3 fast food meals and 2 nice meals. Breakfast is served in the hotel. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown. Also, note that you will be walking to the convention center, therefore, make sure you have warm appropriate clothing. You will be on your own for lunch on Thursday & Friday as we have duties at the convention. You may walk to eat lunch or eat in the convention center—Hyatt Hotel has a restaurant & coffee bar and the exhibits has a concession stand. We will meet at go to dinner from the hotel each evening as a group. Below is the schedule.

Tulsa Trip

We will depart the hotel for the Woody Guthrie Museum—your admission there is paid for. After we are finished with the museum we will eat lunch (fast food) and depart for CUHS. State Band Auditions
State Band Auditions are in Salina at Lakewood Middle School. We will depart CUHS on Friday at 9:35 AM and be home 7:00—8:00 PM on Saturday. Auditions are blind, but remember to look nice as you will perform better if you are dressed appropriately—please don’t wear shorts, sweat pants for your auditions. Below is a timeline.
